Ayah 1 Play Ayah
الٓرۚ alif-lam-raAlif Lam Raتِلۡكَ til'kaTheseءَايَٰتُ ayatu(are the) versesٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi(of) the Bookٱلۡحَكِيمِ al-hakimithe wise
TRANSLITERATION
alif-lam-ra til'ka ayatu al-kitabi al-hakimi
English - Sahih International
Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the wise Book
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
أَكَانَ akanaIs itلِلنَّاسِ lilnnasifor the mankindعَجَبًا ajabana wonderأَنۡ anthatأَوۡحَيۡنَآ awhaynaWe revealedإِلَىٰ ilatoرَجُلٖ rajulina manمِّنۡهُمۡ min'humfrom (among) themأَنۡ anthatأَنذِرِ andhiriWarnٱلنَّاسَ al-nasathe mankindوَبَشِّرِ wabashiriand give glad tidingsٱلَّذِينَ alladhina(to) those whoءَامَنُوٓاْ amanubelieveأَنَّ annathatلَهُمۡ lahumfor themقَدَمَ qadama(will be) (a respectable) positionصِدۡقٍ sid'qina respectable (position)عِندَ indanearرَبِّهِمۡۗ rabbihimtheir Lordقَالَ qalaSaidٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ al-kafirunathe disbelieversإِنَّ innaIndeedهَٰذَا hadhathisلَسَٰحِرٞ lasahirun(is) surely a magicianمُّبِينٌ mubinunobvious
TRANSLITERATION
akana lilnnasi ajaban an awhayna ila rajulin min'hum an andhiri al-nasa wabashiri alladhina amanu anna lahum qadama sid'qin inda rabbihim qala al-kafiruna inna hadha lasahirun mubinun
English - Sahih International
Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], "Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor with their Lord"? [But] the disbelievers say, "Indeed, this is an obvious magician."
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedرَبَّكُمُ rabbakumuyour Lordٱللَّهُ al-lahu(is) Allahٱلَّذِي alladhithe One Whoخَلَقَ khalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-ardaand the earthفِي fiinسِتَّةِ sittatisixأَيَّامٖ ayyaminperiodsثُمَّ thummathenٱسۡتَوَىٰ is'tawaHe establishedعَلَى alaonٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ al-'arshithe Throneيُدَبِّرُ yudabbirudisposingٱلۡأَمۡرَۖ al-amrathe affairsمَا maNotمِن min(is) any intercessorشَفِيعٍ shafi'in(is) any intercessorإِلَّا illaexceptمِنۢ minafterبَعۡدِ ba'diafterإِذۡنِهِۦۚ idh'nihiHis permissionذَٰلِكُمُ dhalikumuThatٱللَّهُ al-lahu(is) Allahرَبُّكُمۡ rabbukumyour Lordفَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ fa-u'buduhuso worship Himأَفَلَا afalaThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَ tadhakkarunayou remember
TRANSLITERATION
inna rabbakumu al-lahu alladhi khalaqa al-samawati wal-arda fi sittati ayyamin thumma is'tawa ala al-'arshi yudabbiru al-amra ma min shafi'in illa min ba'di idh'nihi dhalikumu al-lahu rabbukum fa-u'buduhu afala tadhakkaruna
English - Sahih International
Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, arranging the matter [of His creation]. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
إِلَيۡهِ ilayhiTo Himمَرۡجِعُكُمۡ marji'ukum(will be) your returnجَمِيعٗاۖ jami'an[all]وَعۡدَ wa'daPromiseٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahحَقًّاۚ haqqan(is) trueإِنَّهُۥ innahuIndeed Heيَبۡدَؤُاْ yabda-uoriginatesٱلۡخَلۡقَ al-khalqathe creationثُمَّ thummathenيُعِيدُهُۥ yu'iduhuHe repeats itلِيَجۡزِيَ liyajziyathat He may rewardٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْ amanubelievedوَعَمِلُواْ wa'amiluand didٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ al-salihatithe good deedsبِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ bil-qis'tiin justiceوَٱلَّذِينَ wa-alladhinaBut those whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelievedلَهُمۡ lahumfor themشَرَابٞ sharabun(will be) a drinkمِّنۡ minofحَمِيمٖ hamiminboiling fluidsوَعَذَابٌ wa'adhabunand a punishmentأَلِيمُۢ alimunpainfulبِمَا bimabecauseكَانُواْ kanuthey used (to)يَكۡفُرُونَ yakfurunadisbelieve
TRANSLITERATION
ilayhi marji'ukum jami'an wa'da al-lahi haqqan innahu yabda-u al-khalqa thumma yu'iduhu liyajziya alladhina amanu wa'amilu al-salihati bil-qis'ti wa-alladhina kafaru lahum sharabun min hamimin wa'adhabun alimun bima kanu yakfuruna
English - Sahih International
To Him is your return all together. [It is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. Indeed, He begins the [process of] creation and then repeats it that He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds, in justice. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment for what they used to deny.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِي alladhi(is) the One Whoجَعَلَ ja'alamadeٱلشَّمۡسَ al-shamsathe sunضِيَآءٗ diyaana shining lightوَٱلۡقَمَرَ wal-qamaraand the moonنُورٗا nurana reflected lightوَقَدَّرَهُۥ waqaddarahuand determined for itمَنَازِلَ manazilaphasesلِتَعۡلَمُواْ lita'lamuthat you may knowعَدَدَ adada(the) numberٱلسِّنِينَ al-sinina(of) the yearsوَٱلۡحِسَابَۚ wal-hisabaand the count (of time)مَا maNotخَلَقَ khalaqacreatedٱللَّهُ al-lahuAllahذَٰلِكَ dhalikathatإِلَّا illaexceptبِٱلۡحَقِّۚ bil-haqiin truthيُفَصِّلُ yufassiluHe explainsٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ al-ayatithe Signsلِقَوۡمٖ liqawminfor a peopleيَعۡلَمُونَ ya'lamuna(who) know
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi ja'ala al-shamsa diyaan wal-qamara nuran waqaddarahu manazila lita'lamu adada al-sinina wal-hisaba ma khalaqa al-lahu dhalika illa bil-haqi yufassilu al-ayati liqawmin ya'lamuna
English - Sahih International
It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedفِي fiinٱخۡتِلَٰفِ ikh'tilafi(the) alternationٱلَّيۡلِ al-layli(of) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِ wal-nahariand the dayوَمَا wamaand whatخَلَقَ khalaqa(has been) createdٱللَّهُ al-lahu(by) Allahفِي fiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِ wal-ardiand the earthلَأٓيَٰتٖ laayatin(are) Signsلِّقَوۡمٖ liqawminfor a peopleيَتَّقُونَ yattaqunawho are God conscious
TRANSLITERATION
inna fi ikh'tilafi al-layli wal-nahari wama khalaqa al-lahu fi al-samawati wal-ardi laayatin liqawmin yattaquna
English - Sahih International
Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and [in] what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who fear Allah

Ayah 7 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoلَا la(do) notيَرۡجُونَ yarjunaexpectلِقَآءَنَا liqaanathe meeting with Usوَرَضُواْ waraduand are pleasedبِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ bil-hayatiwith the lifeٱلدُّنۡيَا al-dun'ya(of) the worldوَٱطۡمَأَنُّواْ wa-it'ma-annuand feel satisfiedبِهَا bihawith itوَٱلَّذِينَ wa-alladhinaand thoseهُمۡ humtheyعَنۡ an(are) ofءَايَٰتِنَا ayatinaOur Signsغَٰفِلُونَ ghafilunaheedless
TRANSLITERATION
inna alladhina la yarjuna liqaana waradu bil-hayati al-dun'ya wa-it'ma-annu biha wa-alladhina hum an ayatina ghafiluna
English - Sahih International
Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and feel secure therein and those who are heedless of Our signs
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ulaikaThoseمَأۡوَىٰهُمُ mawahumutheir abodeٱلنَّارُ al-naru(will be) the Fireبِمَا bimafor whatكَانُواْ kanuthey used (to)يَكۡسِبُونَ yaksibunaearn
TRANSLITERATION
ulaika mawahumu al-naru bima kanu yaksibuna
English - Sahih International
For those their refuge will be the Fire because of what they used to earn.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْ amanubelievedوَعَمِلُواْ wa'amiluand didٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ al-salihatigood deedsيَهۡدِيهِمۡ yahdihim(will) guide themرَبُّهُم rabbuhumtheir Lordبِإِيمَٰنِهِمۡۖ biimanihimby their faithتَجۡرِي tajriWill flowمِن minfromتَحۡتِهِمُ tahtihimuunderneath themٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ al-anharuthe riversفِي fiinجَنَّـٰتِ jannatiGardensٱلنَّعِيمِ al-na'imi(of) Delight
TRANSLITERATION
inna alladhina amanu wa'amilu al-salihati yahdihim rabbuhum biimanihim tajri min tahtihimu al-anharu fi jannati al-na'imi
English - Sahih International
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ da'wahumTheir prayerفِيهَا fihathereinسُبۡحَٰنَكَ sub'hanaka(will be) Glory be to Youٱللَّهُمَّ al-lahumaO Allah!وَتَحِيَّتُهُمۡ watahiyyatuhumAnd their greetingفِيهَا fihatherein (will be)سَلَٰمٞۚ salamunPeaceوَءَاخِرُ waakhiruAnd the lastدَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ da'wahum(of) their callأَنِ ani(will be) [that]ٱلۡحَمۡدُ al-hamduAll the Praise beلِلَّهِ lillahito Allahرَبِّ rabbiLordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ al-'alamina(of) the worlds
TRANSLITERATION
da'wahum fiha sub'hanaka al-lahuma watahiyyatuhum fiha salamun waakhiru da'wahum ani al-hamdu lillahi rabbi al-'alamina
English - Sahih International
Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allah," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!"
