Ayah 2 Play Ayah
تَنزِيلُ tanzilu(The) revelationٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi(of) the Bookمِنَ mina(is) fromٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahٱلۡعَزِيزِ al-'azizithe All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمِ al-hakimithe All-Wiseﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
tanzilu al-kitabi mina al-lahi al-'azizi al-hakimi
English - Sahih International
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
مَا maNotخَلَقۡنَا khalaqnaWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-ardaand the earthوَمَا wamaand whatبَيۡنَهُمَآ baynahuma(is) between both of themإِلَّا illaexceptبِٱلۡحَقِّ bil-haqiin truthوَأَجَلٖ wa-ajalinand (for) a termمُّسَمّٗىۚ musammanappointedوَٱلَّذِينَ wa-alladhinaBut those whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelieveعَمَّآ ammafrom whatأُنذِرُواْ undhiruthey are warnedمُعۡرِضُونَ mu'riduna(are) turning awayﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
ma khalaqna al-samawati wal-arda wama baynahuma illa bil-haqi wa-ajalin musamman wa-alladhina kafaru amma undhiru mu'riduna
English - Sahih International
We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
قُلۡ qulSayأَرَءَيۡتُم ara-aytumDo you seeمَّا mawhatتَدۡعُونَ tad'unayou callمِن minbesidesدُونِ dunibesidesٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahأَرُونِي aruniShow meمَاذَا madhawhatخَلَقُواْ khalaquthey have createdمِنَ minaofٱلۡأَرۡضِ al-ardithe earthأَمۡ amorلَهُمۡ lahumfor themشِرۡكٞ shir'kun(is) any shareفِي fiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِۖ al-samawatithe heavensٱئۡتُونِي i'tuniBring meبِكِتَٰبٖ bikitabina bookمِّن minfromقَبۡلِ qablibeforeهَٰذَآ hadhathisأَوۡ aworأَثَٰرَةٖ atharatintracesمِّنۡ minofعِلۡمٍ il'minknowledgeإِن inifكُنتُمۡ kuntumyou areصَٰدِقِينَ sadiqinatruthfulﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
qul ara-aytum ma tad'una min duni al-lahi aruni madha khalaqu mina al-ardi am lahum shir'kun fi al-samawati i'tuni bikitabin min qabli hadha aw atharatin min il'min in kuntum sadiqina
English - Sahih International
Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful."
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
وَمَنۡ wamanAnd whoأَضَلُّ adallu(is) more astrayمِمَّن mimmanthan (he) whoيَدۡعُواْ yad'ucallsمِن minbesidesدُونِ dunibesidesٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahمَن manwhoلَّا lawill not respondيَسۡتَجِيبُ yastajibuwill not respondلَهُۥٓ lahuto himإِلَىٰ ilauntilيَوۡمِ yawmi(the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ al-qiyamati(of) Resurrectionوَهُمۡ wahumand theyعَن anofدُعَآئِهِمۡ du'aihimtheir callsغَٰفِلُونَ ghafiluna(are) unawareﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
waman adallu mimman yad'u min duni al-lahi man la yastajibu lahu ila yawmi al-qiyamati wahum an du'aihim ghafiluna
English - Sahih International
And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware.

Ayah 6 Play Ayah
وَإِذَا wa-idhaAnd whenحُشِرَ hushiraare gatheredٱلنَّاسُ al-nasuthe peopleكَانُواْ kanuthey will beلَهُمۡ lahumfor themأَعۡدَآءٗ a'daanenemiesوَكَانُواْ wakanuand they will beبِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ bi'ibadatihimof their worshipكَٰفِرِينَ kafirinadeniersﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
wa-idha hushira al-nasu kanu lahum a'daan wakanu bi'ibadatihim kafirina
English - Sahih International
And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
وَإِذَا wa-idhaAnd whenتُتۡلَىٰ tut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِمۡ alayhimto themءَايَٰتُنَا ayatunaOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٖ bayyinatinclearقَالَ qalasayٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelieveلِلۡحَقِّ lil'haqqiof the truthلَمَّا lammawhenجَآءَهُمۡ jaahumit comes to themهَٰذَا hadhaThisسِحۡرٞ sih'run(is) a magicمُّبِينٌ mubinunclearﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
wa-idha tut'la alayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala alladhina kafaru lil'haqqi lamma jaahum hadha sih'run mubinun
English - Sahih International
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is obvious magic."
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
أَمۡ amOrيَقُولُونَ yaqulunathey sayٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ if'tarahuHe has invented itقُلۡ qulSayإِنِ iniIfٱفۡتَرَيۡتُهُۥ if'taraytuhuI have invented itفَلَا falathen notتَمۡلِكُونَ tamlikunayou have powerلِي lifor meمِنَ minaagainstٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahشَيۡـًٔاۖ shayananythingهُوَ huwaHeأَعۡلَمُ a'lamuknows bestبِمَا bimaof whatتُفِيضُونَ tufidunayou utterفِيهِۚ fihiconcerning itكَفَىٰ kafaSufficient is Heبِهِۦ bihiSufficient is Heشَهِيدَۢا shahidan(as) a Witnessبَيۡنِي baynibetween meوَبَيۡنَكُمۡۖ wabaynakumand between youوَهُوَ wahuwaand Heٱلۡغَفُورُ al-ghafuru(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُ al-rahimuthe Most Mercifulﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
am yaquluna if'tarahu qul ini if'taraytuhu fala tamlikuna li mina al-lahi shayan huwa a'lamu bima tufiduna fihi kafa bihi shahidan bayni wabaynakum wahuwa al-ghafuru al-rahimu
English - Sahih International
Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful."
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
قُلۡ qulSayمَا maNotكُنتُ kuntuI amبِدۡعٗا bid'ana new (one)مِّنَ minaamongٱلرُّسُلِ al-rusulithe Messengersوَمَآ wamaand notأَدۡرِي adriI knowمَا mawhatيُفۡعَلُ yuf'aluwill be doneبِي biwith meوَلَا walaand notبِكُمۡۖ bikumwith youإِنۡ inNotأَتَّبِعُ attabi'uI followإِلَّا illabutمَا mawhatيُوحَىٰٓ yuhais revealedإِلَيَّ ilayyato meوَمَآ wamaand notأَنَا۠ anaI amإِلَّا illabutنَذِيرٞ nadhiruna warnerمُّبِينٞ mubinunclearﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
qul ma kuntu bid'an mina al-rusuli wama adri ma yuf'alu bi wala bikum in attabi'u illa ma yuha ilayya wama ana illa nadhirun mubinun
English - Sahih International
Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
قُلۡ qulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمۡ ara-aytumDo you seeإِن inifكَانَ kanait isمِنۡ minfrom Allahعِندِ indifrom Allahٱللَّهِ al-lahifrom Allahوَكَفَرۡتُم wakafartumand you disbelieveبِهِۦ bihiin itوَشَهِدَ washahidaand testifiesشَاهِدٞ shahiduna witnessمِّنۢ minfromبَنِيٓ bani(the) Children of Israelإِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ is'raila(the) Children of Israelعَلَىٰ alatoمِثۡلِهِۦ mith'lihi(the) like thereofفَـَٔامَنَ faamanathen he believedوَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡۚ wa-is'takbartumwhile you are arrogantإِنَّ innaIndeedٱللَّهَ al-lahaAllahلَا la(does) notيَهۡدِي yahdiguideٱلۡقَوۡمَ al-qawmathe peopleٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ al-zaliminathe wrongdoersﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
qul ara-aytum in kana min indi al-lahi wakafartum bihi washahida shahidun min bani is'raila ala mith'lihi faamana wa-is'takbartum inna al-laha la yahdi al-qawma al-zalimina
English - Sahih International
Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant...?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
