Ayah 1 Play Ayah
أَتَىٰٓ ataWill comeأَمۡرُ amruthe commandٱللَّهِ al-lahiof Allahفَلَا falaso (do) notتَسۡتَعۡجِلُوهُۚ tasta'jiluhu(be) impatient for itسُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ sub'hanahuGlorified is Heوَتَعَٰلَىٰ wata'alaand Exalted (is) Heعَمَّا ammaabove whatيُشۡرِكُونَ yush'rikunathey associateﰀ
TRANSLITERATION
ata amru al-lahi fala tasta'jiluhu sub'hanahu wata'ala amma yush'rikuna
English - Sahih International
The command of Allah is coming, so be not impatient for it. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
يُنَزِّلُ yunazziluHe sends downٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ al-malaikatathe Angelsبِٱلرُّوحِ bil-ruhiwith the inspirationمِنۡ minofأَمۡرِهِۦ amrihiHis Commandعَلَىٰ alauponمَن manwhomيَشَآءُ yashauHe willsمِنۡ minofعِبَادِهِۦٓ ibadihiHis slavesأَنۡ anthatأَنذِرُوٓاْ andhiruWarnأَنَّهُۥ annahuthat [He]لَآ la(there is) noإِلَٰهَ ilahagodإِلَّآ illaexceptأَنَا۠ anaMeفَٱتَّقُونِ fa-ittaquniso fear Meﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
yunazzilu al-malaikata bil-ruhi min amrihi ala man yashau min ibadihi an andhiru annahu la ilaha illa ana fa-ittaquni
English - Sahih International
He sends down the angels, with the inspiration of His command, upon whom He wills of His servants, [telling them], "Warn that there is no deity except Me; so fear Me."
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
خَلَقَ khalaqaHe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-ardaand the earthبِٱلۡحَقِّۚ bil-haqiin truthتَعَٰلَىٰ ta'alaExalted is Heعَمَّا ammaabove whatيُشۡرِكُونَ yush'rikunathey associateﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
khalaqa al-samawati wal-arda bil-haqi ta'ala amma yush'rikuna
English - Sahih International
He created the heavens and earth in truth. High is He above what they associate with Him.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
خَلَقَ khalaqaHe createdٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ al-insanathe human kindمِن minfromنُّطۡفَةٖ nut'fatina minute quantity of semenفَإِذَا fa-idhathen beholdهُوَ huwaheخَصِيمٞ khasimun(is) an opponentمُّبِينٞ mubinunclearﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
khalaqa al-insana min nut'fatin fa-idha huwa khasimun mubinun
English - Sahih International
He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمَ wal-an'amaAnd the cattleخَلَقَهَاۖ khalaqahaHe created themلَكُمۡ lakumfor youفِيهَا fihain themدِفۡءٞ dif'on(is) warmthوَمَنَٰفِعُ wamanafi'uand benefitsوَمِنۡهَا wamin'haand from themتَأۡكُلُونَ takulunayou eatﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
wal-an'ama khalaqaha lakum fiha dif'on wamanafi'u wamin'ha takuluna
English - Sahih International
And the grazing livestock He has created for you; in them is warmth and [numerous] benefits, and from them you eat.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
وَلَكُمۡ walakumAnd for youفِيهَا fihain themجَمَالٌ jamalun(is) beautyحِينَ hinawhenتُرِيحُونَ turihunayou bring them inوَحِينَ wahinaand whenتَسۡرَحُونَ tasrahunayou take them outﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
walakum fiha jamalun hina turihuna wahina tasrahuna
English - Sahih International
And for you in them is [the enjoyment of] beauty when you bring them in [for the evening] and when you send them out [to pasture].

Ayah 7 Play Ayah
وَتَحۡمِلُ watahmiluAnd they carryأَثۡقَالَكُمۡ athqalakumyour loadsإِلَىٰ ilatoبَلَدٖ baladina landلَّمۡ lamnotتَكُونُواْ takunuyou couldبَٰلِغِيهِ balighihireach itإِلَّا illaexceptبِشِقِّ bishiqqiwith great troubleٱلۡأَنفُسِۚ al-anfusi(to) yourselvesإِنَّ innaIndeedرَبَّكُمۡ rabbakumyour Lordلَرَءُوفٞ laraufunsurely is Most Kindرَّحِيمٞ rahimunMost Mercifulﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
watahmilu athqalakum ila baladin lam takunu balighihi illa bishiqqi al-anfusi inna rabbakum laraufun rahimun
English - Sahih International
And they carry your loads to a land you could not have reached except with difficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
وَٱلۡخَيۡلَ wal-khaylaAnd horsesوَٱلۡبِغَالَ wal-bighalaand mulesوَٱلۡحَمِيرَ wal-hamiraand donkeysلِتَرۡكَبُوهَا litarkabuhafor you to ride themوَزِينَةٗۚ wazinatanand (as) adornmentوَيَخۡلُقُ wayakhluquAnd He createsمَا mawhatلَا lanotتَعۡلَمُونَ ta'lamunayou knowﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
wal-khayla wal-bighala wal-hamira litarkabuha wazinatan wayakhluqu ma la ta'lamuna
English - Sahih International
And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride and [as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
وَعَلَى wa'alaAnd uponٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahقَصۡدُ qasdu(is) the directionٱلسَّبِيلِ al-sabili(of) the wayوَمِنۡهَا wamin'haand among themجَآئِرٞۚ jairun(are) crookedوَلَوۡ walawAnd ifشَآءَ shaaHe willedلَهَدَىٰكُمۡ lahadakumsurely He would have guided youأَجۡمَعِينَ ajma'inaallﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
wa'ala al-lahi qasdu al-sabili wamin'ha jairun walaw shaa lahadakum ajma'ina
English - Sahih International
And upon Allah is the direction of the [right] way, and among the various paths are those deviating. And if He willed, He could have guided you all.
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِيٓ alladhi(is) the One Whoأَنزَلَ anzalasends downمِنَ minafromٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe skyمَآءٗۖ maanwaterلَّكُم lakumfor youمِّنۡهُ min'huof itشَرَابٞ sharabun(is) drinkوَمِنۡهُ wamin'huand from itشَجَرٞ shajarun(grows) vegetationفِيهِ fihiin whichتُسِيمُونَ tusimunayou pasture your cattleﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi anzala mina al-samai maan lakum min'hu sharabun wamin'hu shajarun fihi tusimuna
English - Sahih International
It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals].
