Ayah 1 Play Ayah
سَبَّحَ sabbahaGlorifiesلِلَّهِ lillahi[to] Allahمَا mawhateverفِي fi(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ wal-ardiand the earthوَهُوَ wahuwaand Heٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu(is) the All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمُ al-hakimuthe All-Wiseﰀ
TRANSLITERATION
sabbaha lillahi ma fi al-samawati wal-ardi wahuwa al-'azizu al-hakimu
English - Sahih International
Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
لَهُۥ lahuFor Himمُلۡكُ mul'ku(is the) dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ wal-ardiand the earthيُحۡيِۦ yuh'yiHe gives lifeوَيُمِيتُۖ wayumituand causes deathوَهُوَ wahuwaand Heعَلَىٰ ala(is) overكُلِّ kulliallشَيۡءٖ shayinthingsقَدِيرٌ qadirunAll-Powerfulﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
lahu mul'ku al-samawati wal-ardi yuh'yi wayumitu wahuwa ala kulli shayin qadirun
English - Sahih International
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلۡأَوَّلُ al-awalu(is) the Firstوَٱلۡأٓخِرُ wal-akhiruand the Lastوَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ wal-zahiruand the Apparentوَٱلۡبَاطِنُۖ wal-batinuand the Unapparentوَهُوَ wahuwaand Heبِكُلِّ bikulli(is) of everyشَيۡءٍ shayinthingعَلِيمٌ alimunAll-Knowerﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa al-awalu wal-akhiru wal-zahiru wal-batinu wahuwa bikulli shayin alimun
English - Sahih International
He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.

Ayah 4 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِي alladhi(is) the One Whoخَلَقَ khalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-ardaand the earthفِي fiinسِتَّةِ sittatisixأَيَّامٖ ayyaminperiodsثُمَّ thummathenٱسۡتَوَىٰ is'tawaHe roseعَلَى alaoverٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ al-'arshithe Throneيَعۡلَمُ ya'lamuHe knowsمَا mawhatيَلِجُ yalijupenetratesفِي fiin(to)ٱلۡأَرۡضِ al-ardithe earthوَمَا wamaand whatيَخۡرُجُ yakhrujucomes forthمِنۡهَا min'hafrom itوَمَا wamaand whatيَنزِلُ yanziludescendsمِنَ minafromٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe heavenوَمَا wamaand whatيَعۡرُجُ ya'rujuascendsفِيهَاۖ fihathereinوَهُوَ wahuwaand Heمَعَكُمۡ ma'akum(is) with youأَيۡنَ aynawhereverمَا mawhereverكُنتُمۡۚ kuntumyou areوَٱللَّهُ wal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَا bimaof whatتَعۡمَلُونَ ta'malunayou doبَصِيرٞ basirun(is) All-seerﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi khalaqa al-samawati wal-arda fi sittati ayyamin thumma is'tawa ala al-'arshi ya'lamu ma yaliju fi al-ardi wama yakhruju min'ha wama yanzilu mina al-samai wama ya'ruju fiha wahuwa ma'akum ayna ma kuntum wal-lahu bima ta'maluna basirun
English - Sahih International
It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
لَّهُۥ lahuFor Himمُلۡكُ mul'ku(is the) dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ wal-ardiand the earthوَإِلَى wa-ilaand toٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahتُرۡجَعُ tur'ja'uwill be returnedٱلۡأُمُورُ al-umuruthe mattersﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
lahu mul'ku al-samawati wal-ardi wa-ila al-lahi tur'ja'u al-umuru
English - Sahih International
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
يُولِجُ yulijuHe mergesٱلَّيۡلَ al-laylathe nightفِي fiintoٱلنَّهَارِ al-naharithe dayوَيُولِجُ wayulijuand He mergesٱلنَّهَارَ al-naharathe dayفِي fiintoٱلَّيۡلِۚ al-laylithe nightوَهُوَ wahuwaand Heعَلِيمُۢ alimun(is) All-Knowerبِذَاتِ bidhatiof what is in the breastsٱلصُّدُورِ al-suduriof what is in the breastsﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
yuliju al-layla fi al-nahari wayuliju al-nahara fi al-layli wahuwa alimun bidhati al-suduri
English - Sahih International
He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts.
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
ءَامِنُواْ aminuBelieveبِٱللَّهِ bil-lahiin Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦ warasulihiand His Messengerوَأَنفِقُواْ wa-anfiquand spendمِمَّا mimmaof whatجَعَلَكُم ja'alakumHe has made youمُّسۡتَخۡلَفِينَ mus'takhlafinatrusteesفِيهِۖ fihithereinفَٱلَّذِينَ fa-alladhinaAnd thoseءَامَنُواْ amanuwho believeمِنكُمۡ minkumamong youوَأَنفَقُواْ wa-anfaquand spendلَهُمۡ lahumfor themأَجۡرٞ ajrun(is) a rewardكَبِيرٞ kabirungreatﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
aminu bil-lahi warasulihi wa-anfiqu mimma ja'alakum mus'takhlafina fihi fa-alladhina amanu minkum wa-anfaqu lahum ajrun kabirun
English - Sahih International
Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
وَمَا wamaAnd whatلَكُمۡ lakum(is) for youلَا la(that) notتُؤۡمِنُونَ tu'minunayou believeبِٱللَّهِ bil-lahiin Allahوَٱلرَّسُولُ wal-rasuluwhile the Messengerيَدۡعُوكُمۡ yad'ukumcalls youلِتُؤۡمِنُواْ litu'minuthat you believeبِرَبِّكُمۡ birabbikumin your Lordوَقَدۡ waqadand indeedأَخَذَ akhadhaHe has takenمِيثَٰقَكُمۡ mithaqakumyour covenantإِن inifكُنتُم kuntumyou areمُّؤۡمِنِينَ mu'mininabelieversﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
wama lakum la tu'minuna bil-lahi wal-rasulu yad'ukum litu'minu birabbikum waqad akhadha mithaqakum in kuntum mu'minina
English - Sahih International
And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِي alladhi(is) the One Whoيُنَزِّلُ yunazzilusends downعَلَىٰ alauponعَبۡدِهِۦٓ abdihiHis slaveءَايَٰتِۭ ayatinVersesبَيِّنَٰتٖ bayyinatinclearلِّيُخۡرِجَكُم liyukh'rijakumthat He may bring you outمِّنَ minafromٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ al-zulumatithe darkness[es]إِلَى ilaintoٱلنُّورِۚ al-nurithe lightوَإِنَّ wa-innaAnd indeedٱللَّهَ al-lahaAllahبِكُمۡ bikumto youلَرَءُوفٞ laraufun(is the) Most Kindرَّحِيمٞ rahimun(the) Most Mercifulﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi yunazzilu ala abdihi ayatin bayyinatin liyukh'rijakum mina al-zulumati ila al-nuri wa-inna al-laha bikum laraufun rahimun
English - Sahih International
It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
وَمَا wamaAnd whatلَكُمۡ lakum(is) for youأَلَّا allathat notتُنفِقُواْ tunfiquyou spendفِي fiinسَبِيلِ sabili(the) wayٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahوَلِلَّهِ walillahiwhile for Allahمِيرَٰثُ mirathu(is the) heritageٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ wal-ardiand the earthلَا laNotيَسۡتَوِي yastawiare equalمِنكُم minkumamong youمَّنۡ man(those) whoأَنفَقَ anfaqaspentمِن minbeforeقَبۡلِ qablibeforeٱلۡفَتۡحِ al-fathithe victoryوَقَٰتَلَۚ waqatalaand foughtأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ulaikaThoseأَعۡظَمُ a'zamu(are) greaterدَرَجَةٗ darajatan(in) degreeمِّنَ minathanٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoأَنفَقُواْ anfaquspentمِنۢ minafterwardsبَعۡدُ ba'duafterwardsوَقَٰتَلُواْۚ waqataluand foughtوَكُلّٗا wakullanBut to allوَعَدَ wa'adaAllah has promisedٱللَّهُ al-lahuAllah has promisedٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ al-hus'nathe bestوَٱللَّهُ wal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَا bimaof whatتَعۡمَلُونَ ta'malunayou doخَبِيرٞ khabirun(is) All-Awareﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
wama lakum alla tunfiqu fi sabili al-lahi walillahi mirathu al-samawati wal-ardi la yastawi minkum man anfaqa min qabli al-fathi waqatala ulaika a'zamu darajatan mina alladhina anfaqu min ba'du waqatalu wakullan wa'ada al-lahu al-hus'na wal-lahu bima ta'maluna khabirun
English - Sahih International
And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.
