Ayah 2 Play Ayah
تَنزِيلُ tanzilu(The) revelationٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi(of) the Bookمِنَ mina(is) fromٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahٱلۡعَزِيزِ al-'azizithe All-Mightyٱلۡعَلِيمِ al-'alimithe All-Knowerﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
tanzilu al-kitabi mina al-lahi al-'azizi al-'alimi
English - Sahih International
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
غَافِرِ ghafiri(The) Forgiverٱلذَّنۢبِ al-dhanbi(of) the sinوَقَابِلِ waqabiliand (the) Acceptorٱلتَّوۡبِ al-tawbi(of) [the] repentanceشَدِيدِ shadidisevereٱلۡعِقَابِ al-'iqabi(in) the punishmentذِي dhiOwner ofٱلطَّوۡلِۖ al-tawlithe abundanceلَآ la(There is) noإِلَٰهَ ilahagodإِلَّا illaexceptهُوَۖ huwaHimإِلَيۡهِ ilayhito Himٱلۡمَصِيرُ al-masiru(is) the final returnﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
ghafiri al-dhanbi waqabili al-tawbi shadidi al-'iqabi dhi al-tawli la ilaha illa huwa ilayhi al-masiru
English - Sahih International
The forgiver of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, owner of abundance. There is no deity except Him; to Him is the destination.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
مَا maNotيُجَٰدِلُ yujadiludisputeفِيٓ ficoncerningءَايَٰتِ ayati(the) Versesٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahإِلَّا illaexceptٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelieveفَلَا falaso (let) notيَغۡرُرۡكَ yaghrur'kadeceive youتَقَلُّبُهُمۡ taqallubuhumtheir movementفِي fiinٱلۡبِلَٰدِ al-biladithe citiesﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
ma yujadilu fi ayati al-lahi illa alladhina kafaru fala yaghrur'ka taqallubuhum fi al-biladi
English - Sahih International
No one disputes concerning the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so be not deceived by their [uninhibited] movement throughout the land.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
كَذَّبَتۡ kadhabatDeniedقَبۡلَهُمۡ qablahumbefore themقَوۡمُ qawmu(the) peopleنُوحٖ nuhin(of) Nuhوَٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ wal-ahzabuand the factionsمِنۢ minafter themبَعۡدِهِمۡۖ ba'dihimafter themوَهَمَّتۡ wahammatand plottedكُلُّ kullueveryأُمَّةِۭ ummatinnationبِرَسُولِهِمۡ birasulihimagainst their Messengerلِيَأۡخُذُوهُۖ liyakhudhuhuto seize himوَجَٰدَلُواْ wajadaluand they disputedبِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ bil-batiliby falsehoodلِيُدۡحِضُواْ liyud'hiduto refuteبِهِ bihitherebyٱلۡحَقَّ al-haqathe truthفَأَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ fa-akhadhtuhumSo I seized themفَكَيۡفَ fakayfaThen howكَانَ kanawasعِقَابِ iqabiMy penaltyﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
kadhabat qablahum qawmu nuhin wal-ahzabu min ba'dihim wahammat kullu ummatin birasulihim liyakhudhuhu wajadalu bil-batili liyud'hidu bihi al-haqa fa-akhadhtuhum fakayfa kana iqabi
English - Sahih International
The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
وَكَذَٰلِكَ wakadhalikaAnd thusحَقَّتۡ haqqathas been justifiedكَلِمَتُ kalimatu(the) Wordرَبِّكَ rabbika(of) your Lordعَلَى alaagainstٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoكَفَرُوٓاْ kafarudisbelievedأَنَّهُمۡ annahumthat theyأَصۡحَٰبُ ashabu(are) companionsٱلنَّارِ al-nari(of) the Fireﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
wakadhalika haqqat kalimatu rabbika ala alladhina kafaru annahum ashabu al-nari
English - Sahih International
And thus has the word of your Lord come into effect upon those who disbelieved that they are companions of the Fire.
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhinaThose whoيَحۡمِلُونَ yahmilunabearٱلۡعَرۡشَ al-'arshathe Throneوَمَنۡ wamanand thoseحَوۡلَهُۥ hawlahuaround itيُسَبِّحُونَ yusabbihunaglorifyبِحَمۡدِ bihamdi(the) praisesرَبِّهِمۡ rabbihim(of) their Lordوَيُؤۡمِنُونَ wayu'minunaand believeبِهِۦ bihiin Himوَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ wayastaghfirunaand ask forgivenessلِلَّذِينَ lilladhinafor those whoءَامَنُواْۖ amanubelieveرَبَّنَا rabbanaOur Lord!وَسِعۡتَ wasi'taYou encompassكُلَّ kullaallشَيۡءٖ shayinthingsرَّحۡمَةٗ rahmatan(by Your) Mercyوَعِلۡمٗا wa'il'manand knowledgeفَٱغۡفِرۡ fa-igh'firso forgiveلِلَّذِينَ lilladhinathose whoتَابُواْ taburepentوَٱتَّبَعُواْ wa-ittaba'uand followسَبِيلَكَ sabilakaYour Wayوَقِهِمۡ waqihimand save them (from)عَذَابَ adhaba(the) punishmentٱلۡجَحِيمِ al-jahimi(of) the Hellfireﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
alladhina yahmiluna al-'arsha waman hawlahu yusabbihuna bihamdi rabbihim wayu'minuna bihi wayastaghfiruna lilladhina amanu rabbana wasi'ta kulla shayin rahmatan wa'il'man fa-igh'fir lilladhina tabu wa-ittaba'u sabilaka waqihim adhaba al-jahimi
English - Sahih International
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.

Ayah 8 Play Ayah
رَبَّنَا rabbanaOur Lord!وَأَدۡخِلۡهُمۡ wa-adkhil'humAnd admit themجَنَّـٰتِ jannati(to) Gardensعَدۡنٍ adnin(of) Edenٱلَّتِي allatiwhichوَعَدتَّهُمۡ wa'adttahumYou have promised themوَمَن wamanand whoeverصَلَحَ salaha(was) righteousمِنۡ minamongءَابَآئِهِمۡ abaihimtheir fathersوَأَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ wa-azwajihimand their spousesوَذُرِّيَّـٰتِهِمۡۚ wadhurriyyatihimand their offspringإِنَّكَ innakaIndeed Youأَنتَ antaYouٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu(are) the All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمُ al-hakimuthe All-Wiseﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
rabbana wa-adkhil'hum jannati adnin allati wa'adttahum waman salaha min abaihim wa-azwajihim wadhurriyyatihim innaka anta al-'azizu al-hakimu
English - Sahih International
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
وَقِهِمُ waqihimuAnd protect themٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِۚ al-sayiati(from) the evilsوَمَن wamanAnd whoeverتَقِ taqiyou protectٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ al-sayiati(from) the evilsيَوۡمَئِذٖ yawma-idhin(that) Dayفَقَدۡ faqadthen verilyرَحِمۡتَهُۥۚ rahim'tahuYou bestowed Mercy on himوَذَٰلِكَ wadhalikaAnd thatهُوَ huwa[it]ٱلۡفَوۡزُ al-fawzu(is) the successٱلۡعَظِيمُ al-'azimuthe greatﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
waqihimu al-sayiati waman taqi al-sayiati yawma-idhin faqad rahim'tahu wadhalika huwa al-fawzu al-'azimu
English - Sahih International
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment."
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelievedيُنَادَوۡنَ yunadawnawill be cried out to themلَمَقۡتُ lamaqtu(Allah's) hatredٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllah's (hatred)أَكۡبَرُ akbaru(was) greaterمِن minthanمَّقۡتِكُمۡ maqtikumyour hatredأَنفُسَكُمۡ anfusakum(of) yourselvesإِذۡ idhwhenتُدۡعَوۡنَ tud'awnayou were calledإِلَى ilatoٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ al-imanithe faithفَتَكۡفُرُونَ fatakfurunaand you disbelievedﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
inna alladhina kafaru yunadawna lamaqtu al-lahi akbaru min maqtikum anfusakum idh tud'awna ila al-imani fatakfuruna
English - Sahih International
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused."
