Ayah 2 Play Ayah
تَنزِيلُ tanzilu(The) revelationٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi(of) the Bookلَا la(there is) noرَيۡبَ raybadoubtفِيهِ fihiabout itمِن minfromرَّبِّ rabbi(the) Lordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ al-'alamina(of) the worldsﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
tanzilu al-kitabi la rayba fihi min rabbi al-'alamina
English - Sahih International
[This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
أَمۡ amOrيَقُولُونَ yaquluna(do) they sayٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۚ if'tarahuHe invented itبَلۡ balNayهُوَ huwaitٱلۡحَقُّ al-haqu(is) the truthمِن minfromرَّبِّكَ rabbikayour Lordلِتُنذِرَ litundhirathat you may warnقَوۡمٗا qawmana peopleمَّآ manotأَتَىٰهُم atahumhas come to themمِّن minanyنَّذِيرٖ nadhirinwarnerمِّن minbefore youقَبۡلِكَ qablikabefore youلَعَلَّهُمۡ la'allahumso that they mayيَهۡتَدُونَ yahtadunabe guidedﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
am yaquluna if'tarahu bal huwa al-haqu min rabbika litundhira qawman ma atahum min nadhirin min qablika la'allahum yahtaduna
English - Sahih International
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
ٱللَّهُ al-lahuAllahٱلَّذِي alladhi(is) the One Whoخَلَقَ khalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-ardaand the earthوَمَا wamaand whateverبَيۡنَهُمَا baynahuma(is) between themفِي fiinسِتَّةِ sittatisixأَيَّامٖ ayyaminperiodsثُمَّ thummaThenٱسۡتَوَىٰ is'tawaestablished Himselfعَلَى alaonٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ al-'arshithe Throneمَا maNotلَكُم lakumfor youمِّن minbesides Himدُونِهِۦ dunihibesides Himمِن minanyوَلِيّٖ waliyyinprotectorوَلَا walaand notشَفِيعٍۚ shafi'inany intercessorأَفَلَا afalaThen will notتَتَذَكَّرُونَ tatadhakkarunayou take heedﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
al-lahu alladhi khalaqa al-samawati wal-arda wama baynahuma fi sittati ayyamin thumma is'tawa ala al-'arshi ma lakum min dunihi min waliyyin wala shafi'in afala tatadhakkaruna
English - Sahih International
It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
يُدَبِّرُ yudabbiruHe regulatesٱلۡأَمۡرَ al-amrathe affairمِنَ minaofٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe heavenإِلَى ilatoٱلۡأَرۡضِ al-ardithe earthثُمَّ thummathenيَعۡرُجُ ya'rujuit will ascendإِلَيۡهِ ilayhito Himفِي fiinيَوۡمٖ yawmina Dayكَانَ kana(the) measure of which isمِقۡدَارُهُۥٓ miq'daruhu(the) measure of which isأَلۡفَ alfaa thousandسَنَةٖ sanatinyearsمِّمَّا mimmaof whatتَعُدُّونَ ta'uddunayou countﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
yudabbiru al-amra mina al-samai ila al-ardi thumma ya'ruju ilayhi fi yawmin kana miq'daruhu alfa sanatin mimma ta'udduna
English - Sahih International
He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
ذَٰلِكَ dhalikaThatعَٰلِمُ alimu(is the) Knowerٱلۡغَيۡبِ al-ghaybi(of) the hiddenوَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ wal-shahadatiand the witnessedٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizuthe All-Mightyٱلرَّحِيمُ al-rahimuthe Most Mercifulﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
dhalika alimu al-ghaybi wal-shahadati al-'azizu al-rahimu
English - Sahih International
That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
ٱلَّذِيٓ alladhiThe One Whoأَحۡسَنَ ahsanamade goodكُلَّ kullaeveryشَيۡءٍ shayinthingخَلَقَهُۥۖ khalaqahuHe createdوَبَدَأَ wabada-aand He beganخَلۡقَ khalqa(the) creationٱلۡإِنسَٰنِ al-insani(of) manمِن minfromطِينٖ tininclayﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
alladhi ahsana kulla shayin khalaqahu wabada-a khalqa al-insani min tinin
English - Sahih International
Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
ثُمَّ thummaThenجَعَلَ ja'alaHe madeنَسۡلَهُۥ naslahuhis progenyمِن minfromسُلَٰلَةٖ sulalatinan extractمِّن minofمَّآءٖ mainwaterمَّهِينٖ mahinindespisedﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
thumma ja'ala naslahu min sulalatin min main mahinin
English - Sahih International
Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
ثُمَّ thummaThenسَوَّىٰهُ sawwahuHe fashioned himوَنَفَخَ wanafakhaand breathedفِيهِ fihiinto himمِن minfromرُّوحِهِۦۖ ruhihiHis spiritوَجَعَلَ waja'alaand madeلَكُمُ lakumufor youٱلسَّمۡعَ al-sam'athe hearingوَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ wal-absaraand the sightوَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ wal-afidataand feelingsقَلِيلٗا qalilanlittleمَّا ma[what]تَشۡكُرُونَ tashkurunathanks you giveﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
thumma sawwahu wanafakha fihi min ruhihi waja'ala lakumu al-sam'a wal-absara wal-afidata qalilan ma tashkuruna
English - Sahih International
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
وَقَالُوٓاْ waqaluAnd they sayأَءِذَا a-idhaIs (it) whenضَلَلۡنَا dalalnawe are lostفِي fiinٱلۡأَرۡضِ al-ardithe earthأَءِنَّا a-innawill weلَفِي laficertainly be inخَلۡقٖ khalqina creationجَدِيدِۭۚ jadidinnewبَلۡ balNayهُم humtheyبِلِقَآءِ biliqaiin (the) meetingرَبِّهِمۡ rabbihim(of) their Lordكَٰفِرُونَ kafiruna(are) disbelieversﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
waqalu a-idha dalalna fi al-ardi a-inna lafi khalqin jadidin bal hum biliqai rabbihim kafiruna
English - Sahih International
And they say, "When we are lost within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers.
