Ayah 2 Play Ayah
ٱللَّهُ al-lahuAllahلَآ la(there is) noإِلَٰهَ ilahaGodإِلَّا illaexceptهُوَ huwaHimٱلۡحَيُّ al-hayuthe Ever-Livingٱلۡقَيُّومُ al-qayumuthe Sustainer of all that existsﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
al-lahu la ilaha illa huwa al-hayu al-qayumu
English - Sahih International
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
نَزَّلَ nazzalaHe revealedعَلَيۡكَ alaykato youٱلۡكِتَٰبَ al-kitabathe Bookبِٱلۡحَقِّ bil-haqiin [the] truthمُصَدِّقٗا musaddiqanconfirmingلِّمَا limathat whichبَيۡنَ bayna(was)يَدَيۡهِ yadayhibefore itوَأَنزَلَ wa-anzalaand He revealedٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ al-tawratathe Tauratوَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ wal-injilaand the Injeelﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
nazzala alayka al-kitaba bil-haqi musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi wa-anzala al-tawrata wal-injila
English - Sahih International
He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
مِن minFromقَبۡلُ qablubefore (this)هُدٗى hudan(as) guidanceلِّلنَّاسِ lilnnasifor the mankindوَأَنزَلَ wa-anzalaAnd (He) revealedٱلۡفُرۡقَانَۗ al-fur'qanathe Criterionإِنَّ innaVerilyٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelieve[d]بِـَٔايَٰتِ biayatiin (the) Versesٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahلَهُمۡ lahumfor themعَذَابٞ adhabun(is) a punishmentشَدِيدٞۗ shadidunsevereوَٱللَّهُ wal-lahuAnd Allahعَزِيزٞ azizun(is) All-Mightyذُو dhuAll-Ableٱنتِقَامٍ intiqamin(of) retributionﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
min qablu hudan lilnnasi wa-anzala al-fur'qana inna alladhina kafaru biayati al-lahi lahum adhabun shadidun wal-lahu azizun dhu intiqamin
English - Sahih International
Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Qur'an. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱللَّهَ al-lahaAllahلَا lanotيَخۡفَىٰ yakhfais hiddenعَلَيۡهِ alayhifrom Himشَيۡءٞ shayonanythingفِي fiinٱلۡأَرۡضِ al-ardithe earthوَلَا walaand notفِي fiinٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe heavenﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
inna al-laha la yakhfa alayhi shayon fi al-ardi wala fi al-samai
English - Sahih International
Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِي alladhi(is) the One Whoيُصَوِّرُكُمۡ yusawwirukumshapes youفِي fiinٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ al-arhamithe wombsكَيۡفَ kayfahow(ever)يَشَآءُۚ yashauHe willsلَآ la(There is) noإِلَٰهَ ilahagodإِلَّا illaexceptهُوَ huwaHimٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizuthe All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمُ al-hakimuthe All-Wiseﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi yusawwirukum fi al-arhami kayfa yashau la ilaha illa huwa al-'azizu al-hakimu
English - Sahih International
It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِيٓ alladhi(is) the One Whoأَنزَلَ anzalarevealedعَلَيۡكَ alaykato youٱلۡكِتَٰبَ al-kitabathe Bookمِنۡهُ min'huof itءَايَٰتٞ ayatun(are) Versesمُّحۡكَمَٰتٌ muh'kamatunabsolutely clearهُنَّ hunnathey (are)أُمُّ ummuthe foundationٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi(of) the Bookوَأُخَرُ wa-ukharuand othersمُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٞۖ mutashabihatun(are) allegoricalفَأَمَّا fa-ammaThen as forٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathoseفِي fiinقُلُوبِهِمۡ qulubihimtheir heartsزَيۡغٞ zayghun(is) perversityفَيَتَّبِعُونَ fayattabi'una[so] they followمَا mawhatتَشَٰبَهَ tashabaha(is) allegoricalمِنۡهُ min'huof itٱبۡتِغَآءَ ib'tighaaseekingٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ al-fit'nati[the] discordوَٱبۡتِغَآءَ wa-ib'tighaaand seekingتَأۡوِيلِهِۦۖ tawilihiits interpretationوَمَا wamaAnd notيَعۡلَمُ ya'lamuknowsتَأۡوِيلَهُۥٓ tawilahuits interpretationإِلَّا illaexceptٱللَّهُۗ al-lahuAllahوَٱلرَّـٰسِخُونَ wal-rasikhunaAnd those firmفِي fiinٱلۡعِلۡمِ al-'il'mi[the] knowledgeيَقُولُونَ yaqulunathey sayءَامَنَّا amannaWe believeبِهِۦ bihiin itكُلّٞ kullunAllمِّنۡ min(is)عِندِ indifromرَبِّنَاۗ rabbinaour Lordوَمَا wamaAnd notيَذَّكَّرُ yadhakkaruwill take heedإِلَّآ illaexceptأُوْلُواْ ulumenٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ al-albabi(of) understandingﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi anzala alayka al-kitaba min'hu ayatun muh'kamatun hunna ummu al-kitabi wa-ukharu mutashabihatun fa-amma alladhina fi qulubihim zayghun fayattabi'una ma tashabaha min'hu ib'tighaa al-fit'nati wa-ib'tighaa tawilihi wama ya'lamu tawilahu illa al-lahu wal-rasikhuna fi al-'il'mi yaquluna amanna bihi kullun min indi rabbina wama yadhakkaru illa ulu al-albabi
English - Sahih International
It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
رَبَّنَا rabbanaOur Lord!لَا la(Do) notتُزِغۡ tuzighdeviateقُلُوبَنَا qulubanaour heartsبَعۡدَ ba'daafterإِذۡ idh[when]هَدَيۡتَنَا hadaytanaYou (have) guided usوَهَبۡ wahaband grantلَنَا lana(for) usمِن minfromلَّدُنكَ ladunkaYourselfرَحۡمَةًۚ rahmatanmercyإِنَّكَ innakaIndeed Youأَنتَ antaYouٱلۡوَهَّابُ al-wahabu(are) the Bestowerﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba'da idh hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmatan innaka anta al-wahabu
English - Sahih International
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
رَبَّنَآ rabbanaOur Lord!إِنَّكَ innakaIndeed Youجَامِعُ jami'uwill gatherٱلنَّاسِ al-nasi[the] mankindلِيَوۡمٖ liyawminon a Dayلَّا la(there is) noرَيۡبَ raybadoubtفِيهِۚ fihiin itإِنَّ innaIndeedٱللَّهَ al-lahaAllahلَا la(does) notيُخۡلِفُ yukh'lifubreakٱلۡمِيعَادَ al-mi'adathe Promiseﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
rabbana innaka jami'u al-nasi liyawmin la rayba fihi inna al-laha la yukh'lifu al-mi'ada
English - Sahih International
Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise."

Ayah 10 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْ kafarudisbelieve[d]لَن lanneverتُغۡنِيَ tugh'niyawill availعَنۡهُمۡ anhum[for] themأَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ amwaluhumtheir wealthوَلَآ walaand notأَوۡلَٰدُهُم awladuhumtheir childrenمِّنَ minaagainstٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahشَيۡـٔٗاۖ shayananythingوَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ wa-ulaikaand thoseهُمۡ humthey (are)وَقُودُ waqudu(the) fuelٱلنَّارِ al-nari(for) the Fireﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
inna alladhina kafaru lan tugh'niya anhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina al-lahi shayan wa-ulaika hum waqudu al-nari
English - Sahih International
Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. And it is they who are fuel for the Fire.
