Ayah 1 Play Ayah
إِنَّآ innaIndeed Weأَنزَلۡنَٰهُ anzalnahurevealed itفِي fiinلَيۡلَةِ laylati(the) Nightٱلۡقَدۡرِ al-qadri(of) Powerﰀ
TRANSLITERATION
inna anzalnahu fi laylati al-qadri
English - Sahih International
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
وَمَآ wamaAnd whatأَدۡرَىٰكَ adrakacan make you knowمَا mawhatلَيۡلَةُ laylatu(the) Nightٱلۡقَدۡرِ al-qadri(of) Power (is)ﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
wama adraka ma laylatu al-qadri
English - Sahih International
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
لَيۡلَةُ laylatu(The) Nightٱلۡقَدۡرِ al-qadri(of) Powerخَيۡرٞ khayrun(is) betterمِّنۡ minthanأَلۡفِ alfia thousandشَهۡرٖ shahrinmonth(s)ﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
laylatu al-qadri khayrun min alfi shahrin
English - Sahih International
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
تَنَزَّلُ tanazzaluDescendٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ al-malaikatuthe Angelsوَٱلرُّوحُ wal-ruhuand the Spiritفِيهَا fihathereinبِإِذۡنِ bi-idh'niby (the) permissionرَبِّهِم rabbihim(of) their Lordمِّن minforكُلِّ kullieveryأَمۡرٖ amrinaffairﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
tanazzalu al-malaikatu wal-ruhu fiha bi-idh'ni rabbihim min kulli amrin
English - Sahih International
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
سَلَٰمٌ salamunPeaceهِيَ hiyait (is)حَتَّىٰ hattauntilمَطۡلَعِ matla'i(the) emergenceٱلۡفَجۡرِ al-fajri(of) the dawnﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
salamun hiya hatta matla'i al-fajri
English - Sahih International
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
