Ayah 1 Play Ayah
سَبَّحَ sabbahaGlorifiesلِلَّهِ lillahiAllahمَا mawhateverفِي fi(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensوَمَا wamaand whateverفِي fi(is) inٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ al-ardithe earthوَهُوَ wahuwaAnd Heٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu(is) the All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمُ al-hakimuthe All-Wiseﰀ
TRANSLITERATION
sabbaha lillahi ma fi al-samawati wama fi al-ardi wahuwa al-'azizu al-hakimu
English - Sahih International
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا yaayyuhaOٱلَّذِينَ alladhina(you) whoءَامَنُواْ amanubelieveلِمَ limaWhyتَقُولُونَ taquluna(do) you sayمَا mawhatلَا lanotتَفۡعَلُونَ taf 'alunayou doﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
yaayyuha alladhina amanu lima taquluna ma la taf 'aluna
English - Sahih International
O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
كَبُرَ kaburaGreat isمَقۡتًا maqtanhatredعِندَ indawithٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahأَن anthatتَقُولُواْ taquluyou sayمَا mawhatلَا lanotتَفۡعَلُونَ taf 'alunayou doﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
kabura maqtan inda al-lahi an taqulu ma la taf 'aluna
English - Sahih International
Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱللَّهَ al-lahaAllahيُحِبُّ yuhibbulovesٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoيُقَٰتِلُونَ yuqatilunafightفِي fiinسَبِيلِهِۦ sabilihiHis Wayصَفّٗا saffan(in) a rowكَأَنَّهُم ka-annahumas if theyبُنۡيَٰنٞ bun'yanun(were) a structureمَّرۡصُوصٞ marsusunjoined firmlyﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
inna al-laha yuhibbu alladhina yuqatiluna fi sabilihi saffan ka-annahum bun'yanun marsusun
English - Sahih International
Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
وَإِذۡ wa-idhAnd whenقَالَ qalasaidمُوسَىٰ musaMusaلِقَوۡمِهِۦ liqawmihito his peopleيَٰقَوۡمِ yaqawmiO my peopleلِمَ limaWhyتُؤۡذُونَنِي tu'dhunanido you hurt meوَقَد waqadwhile certainlyتَّعۡلَمُونَ ta'lamunayou knowأَنِّي annithat I amرَسُولُ rasulu(the) Messengerٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahإِلَيۡكُمۡۖ ilaykumto youفَلَمَّا falammaThen whenزَاغُوٓاْ zaghuthey deviatedأَزَاغَ azagha(was caused to) deviateٱللَّهُ al-lahu(by) Allahقُلُوبَهُمۡۚ qulubahumtheir heartsوَٱللَّهُ wal-lahuAnd Allahلَا la(does) notيَهۡدِي yahdiguideٱلۡقَوۡمَ al-qawmathe peopleٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ al-fasiqinathe defiantly disobedientﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
wa-idh qala musa liqawmihi yaqawmi lima tu'dhunani waqad ta'lamuna anni rasulu al-lahi ilaykum falamma zaghu azagha al-lahu qulubahum wal-lahu la yahdi al-qawma al-fasiqina
English - Sahih International
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allah to you?" And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

Ayah 6 Play Ayah
وَإِذۡ wa-idhAnd whenقَالَ qalasaidعِيسَى isaIsaٱبۡنُ ub'nusonمَرۡيَمَ maryama(of) Maryamيَٰبَنِيٓ yabaniO Childrenإِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ is'raila(of) Israelإِنِّي inniIndeed, I amرَسُولُ rasulu(the) Messengerٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahإِلَيۡكُم ilaykumto youمُّصَدِّقٗا musaddiqanconfirmingلِّمَا limathat whichبَيۡنَ bayna(was) betweenيَدَيَّ yadayyamy handsمِنَ minaofٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ al-tawratithe Tauratوَمُبَشِّرَۢا wamubashiranand bringing glad tidingsبِرَسُولٖ birasulin(of) a Messengerيَأۡتِي yatito comeمِنۢ minfromبَعۡدِي ba'diafter meٱسۡمُهُۥٓ us'muhuwhose name (will be)أَحۡمَدُۖ ahmaduAhmadفَلَمَّا falammaBut whenجَآءَهُم jaahumhe came to themبِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ bil-bayinatiwith clear proofsقَالُواْ qaluthey saidهَٰذَا hadhaThisسِحۡرٞ sih'run(is) a magicمُّبِينٞ mubinunclearﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
wa-idh qala isa ub'nu maryama yabani is'raila inni rasulu al-lahi ilaykum musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina al-tawrati wamubashiran birasulin yati min ba'di us'muhu ahmadu falamma jaahum bil-bayinati qalu hadha sih'run mubinun
English - Sahih International
And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
وَمَنۡ wamanAnd whoأَظۡلَمُ azlamu(is) more wrongمِمَّنِ mimmanithan (one) whoٱفۡتَرَىٰ if'tarainventsعَلَى alauponٱللَّهِ al-lahiAllahٱلۡكَذِبَ al-kadhibathe lieوَهُوَ wahuwawhile heيُدۡعَىٰٓ yud'ais invitedإِلَى ilatoٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِۚ al-is'lamiIslamوَٱللَّهُ wal-lahuAnd Allahلَا la(does) notيَهۡدِي yahdiguideٱلۡقَوۡمَ al-qawmathe peopleٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ al-zalimina[the] wrongdoersﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
waman azlamu mimmani if'tara ala al-lahi al-kadhiba wahuwa yud'a ila al-is'lami wal-lahu la yahdi al-qawma al-zalimina
English - Sahih International
And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah untruth while he is being invited to Islam. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
يُرِيدُونَ yuridunaThey intendلِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ liyut'fiuto put outنُورَ nura(the) lightٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahبِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ bi-afwahihimwith their mouthsوَٱللَّهُ wal-lahubut Allahمُتِمُّ mutimmuwill perfectنُورِهِۦ nurihiHis Lightوَلَوۡ walawalthoughكَرِهَ karihadislikeٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ al-kafirunathe disbelieversﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
yuriduna liyut'fiu nura al-lahi bi-afwahihim wal-lahu mutimmu nurihi walaw kariha al-kafiruna
English - Sahih International
They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
هُوَ huwaHeٱلَّذِيٓ alladhi(is) the One Whoأَرۡسَلَ arsalasentرَسُولَهُۥ rasulahuHis Messengerبِٱلۡهُدَىٰ bil-hudawith guidanceوَدِينِ wadiniand (the) religionٱلۡحَقِّ al-haqi(of) the truthلِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ liyuz'hirahuto make it prevailعَلَى alaoverٱلدِّينِ al-dinithe religionكُلِّهِۦ kullihiall of themوَلَوۡ walawalthoughكَرِهَ karihadislike (it)ٱلۡمُشۡرِكُونَ al-mush'rikunathe polytheistsﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
huwa alladhi arsala rasulahu bil-huda wadini al-haqi liyuz'hirahu ala al-dini kullihi walaw kariha al-mush'rikuna
English - Sahih International
It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it.
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا yaayyuhaOٱلَّذِينَ alladhina(you) whoءَامَنُواْ amanubelieveهَلۡ halShallأَدُلُّكُمۡ adullukumI guide youعَلَىٰ alatoتِجَٰرَةٖ tijaratina transactionتُنجِيكُم tunjikum(that) will save youمِّنۡ minfromعَذَابٍ adhabina punishmentأَلِيمٖ aliminpainfulﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
yaayyuha alladhina amanu hal adullukum ala tijaratin tunjikum min adhabin alimin
English - Sahih International
O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment?
