Ayah 2 Play Ayah
تِلۡكَ til'kaTheseءَايَٰتُ ayatu(are) Versesٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi(of) the Bookٱلۡحَكِيمِ al-hakimithe Wise
TRANSLITERATION
til'ka ayatu al-kitabi al-hakimi
English - Sahih International
These are verses of the wise Book,
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
هُدٗى hudanA guidanceوَرَحۡمَةٗ warahmatanand a mercyلِّلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ lil'muh'sininafor the good-doers
TRANSLITERATION
hudan warahmatan lil'muh'sinina

As guidance and mercy for the doers of good
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhinaThose whoيُقِيمُونَ yuqimunaestablishٱلصَّلَوٰةَ al-salatathe prayerوَيُؤۡتُونَ wayu'tunaand giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَ al-zakatazakahوَهُم wahumand theyبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ bil-akhiratiin the Hereafterهُمۡ hum[they]يُوقِنُونَ yuqinunabelieve firmly
TRANSLITERATION
alladhina yuqimuna al-salata wayu'tuna al-zakata wahum bil-akhirati hum yuqinuna
English - Sahih International
Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith].
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ulaikaThoseعَلَىٰ ala(are) onهُدٗى hudanguidanceمِّن minfromرَّبِّهِمۡۖ rabbihimtheir Lordوَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ wa-ulaikaand thoseهُمُ humu[they]ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ al-muf'lihuna(are) the successful
TRANSLITERATION
ulaika ala hudan min rabbihim wa-ulaika humu al-muf'lihuna
English - Sahih International
Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
وَمِنَ waminaAnd ofٱلنَّاسِ al-nasithe mankindمَن man(is he) whoيَشۡتَرِي yashtaripurchasesلَهۡوَ lahwaidle talesٱلۡحَدِيثِ al-hadithiidle talesلِيُضِلَّ liyudillato misleadعَن anfromسَبِيلِ sabili(the) pathٱللَّهِ al-lahi(of) Allahبِغَيۡرِ bighayriwithoutعِلۡمٖ il'minknowledgeوَيَتَّخِذَهَا wayattakhidhahaand takes itهُزُوًاۚ huzuwan(in) ridiculeأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ulaikaThoseلَهُمۡ lahumfor themعَذَابٞ adhabun(is) a punishmentمُّهِينٞ muhinunhumiliating
TRANSLITERATION
wamina al-nasi man yashtari lahwa al-hadithi liyudilla an sabili al-lahi bighayri il'min wayattakhidhaha huzuwan ulaika lahum adhabun muhinun
English - Sahih International
And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
وَإِذَا wa-idhaAnd whenتُتۡلَىٰ tut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِ alayhito himءَايَٰتُنَا ayatunaOur Versesوَلَّىٰ wallahe turns awayمُسۡتَكۡبِرٗا mus'takbiranarrogantlyكَأَن ka-anas ifلَّمۡ lamnotيَسۡمَعۡهَا yasma'hahe (had) heard themكَأَنَّ ka-annaas ifفِيٓ fiinأُذُنَيۡهِ udhunayhihis earsوَقۡرٗاۖ waqran(is) deafnessفَبَشِّرۡهُ fabashir'huSo give him tidingsبِعَذَابٍ bi'adhabinof a punishmentأَلِيمٍ aliminpainful
TRANSLITERATION
wa-idha tut'la alayhi ayatuna walla mus'takbiran ka-an lam yasma'ha ka-anna fi udhunayhi waqran fabashir'hu bi'adhabin alimin
English - Sahih International
And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
إِنَّ innaIndeedٱلَّذِينَ alladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْ amanubelieveوَعَمِلُواْ wa'amiluand doٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ al-salihatirighteous deedsلَهُمۡ lahumfor themجَنَّـٰتُ jannatu(are) Gardensٱلنَّعِيمِ al-na'imi(of) Delight
TRANSLITERATION
inna alladhina amanu wa'amilu al-salihati lahum jannatu al-na'imi
English - Sahih International
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure.
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
خَٰلِدِينَ khalidina(To) abide foreverفِيهَاۖ fihain itوَعۡدَ wa'da(The) Promise of Allahٱللَّهِ al-lahi(The) Promise of Allahحَقّٗاۚ haqqan(is) trueوَهُوَ wahuwaAnd Heٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu(is) the All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمُ al-hakimuthe All-Wise
TRANSLITERATION
khalidina fiha wa'da al-lahi haqqan wahuwa al-'azizu al-hakimu
English - Sahih International
Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
خَلَقَ khalaqaHe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawatithe heavensبِغَيۡرِ bighayriwithoutعَمَدٖ amadinpillarsتَرَوۡنَهَاۖ tarawnahathat you seeوَأَلۡقَىٰ wa-alqaand has castفِي fiinٱلۡأَرۡضِ al-ardithe earthرَوَٰسِيَ rawasiyafirm mountainsأَن anlestتَمِيدَ tamidait (might) shakeبِكُمۡ bikumwith youوَبَثَّ wabathaand He dispersedفِيهَا fihain itمِن minfromكُلِّ kullieveryدَآبَّةٖۚ dabbatincreatureوَأَنزَلۡنَا wa-anzalnaAnd We sent downمِنَ minafromٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe skyمَآءٗ maanwaterفَأَنۢبَتۡنَا fa-anbatnathen We caused to growفِيهَا fihathereinمِن minofكُلِّ kullieveryزَوۡجٖ zawjinkindكَرِيمٍ kariminnoble
TRANSLITERATION
khalaqa al-samawati bighayri amadin tarawnaha wa-alqa fi al-ardi rawasiya an tamida bikum wabatha fiha min kulli dabbatin wa-anzalna mina al-samai maan fa-anbatna fiha min kulli zawjin karimin
English - Sahih International
He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind.
