Ayah 1 Play Ayah
وَيۡلٞ waylunWoeلِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ lil'mutaffifinato those who give lessﰀ
TRANSLITERATION
waylun lil'mutaffifina
English - Sahih International
Woe to those who give less [than due],
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhinaThose whoإِذَا idhawhenٱكۡتَالُواْ ik'taluthey take a measureعَلَى alafromٱلنَّاسِ al-nasithe peopleيَسۡتَوۡفُونَ yastawfunathey take in fullﰁ
TRANSLITERATION
alladhina idha ik'talu ala al-nasi yastawfuna
English - Sahih International
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
وَإِذَا wa-idhaBut whenكَالُوهُمۡ kaluhumthey give by measure (to) themأَو aworوَّزَنُوهُمۡ wazanuhumthey weigh (for) themيُخۡسِرُونَ yukh'sirunathey give lessﰂ
TRANSLITERATION
wa-idha kaluhum aw wazanuhum yukh'siruna
English - Sahih International
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
أَلَا alaDo notيَظُنُّ yazunnuthinkأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ulaikathoseأَنَّهُم annahumthat theyمَّبۡعُوثُونَ mab'uthuna(will be) resurrectedﰃ
TRANSLITERATION
ala yazunnu ulaika annahum mab'uthuna

Do they not think that they will be resurrected
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
لِيَوۡمٍ liyawminFor a Dayعَظِيمٖ aziminGreatﰄ
TRANSLITERATION
liyawmin azimin
English - Sahih International
For a tremendous Day -
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
يَوۡمَ yawma(The) Dayيَقُومُ yaqumuwill standٱلنَّاسُ al-nasumankindلِرَبِّ lirabbibefore (the) Lordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ al-'alamina(of) the worldsﰅ
TRANSLITERATION
yawma yaqumu al-nasu lirabbi al-'alamina

The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?

Ayah 7 Play Ayah
كَلَّآ kallaNay!إِنَّ innaIndeedكِتَٰبَ kitaba(the) recordٱلۡفُجَّارِ al-fujari(of) the wickedلَفِي lafi(is) surely inسِجِّينٖ sijjininSijjinﰆ
TRANSLITERATION
kalla inna kitaba al-fujari lafi sijjinin
English - Sahih International
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
وَمَآ wamaAnd whatأَدۡرَىٰكَ adrakacan make you knowمَا mawhatسِجِّينٞ sijjinun(is) Sijjinﰇ
TRANSLITERATION
wama adraka ma sijjinun
English - Sahih International
And what can make you know what is sijjeen?
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
كِتَٰبٞ kitabunA bookمَّرۡقُومٞ marqumunwrittenﰈ
TRANSLITERATION
kitabun marqumun
English - Sahih International
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
وَيۡلٞ waylunWoeيَوۡمَئِذٖ yawma-idhinthat Dayلِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ lil'mukadhibinato the deniersﰉ
TRANSLITERATION
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibina

Woe, that Day, to the deniers,
Al Infitaar
Al Mutaffifin / المطففين / Defrauding
Al Inshiqaaq
