Ayah 1 Play Ayah
قٓۚ qafQafوَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ wal-qur'aniBy the Quranٱلۡمَجِيدِ al-majidithe Glorious
TRANSLITERATION
qaf wal-qur'ani al-majidi
English - Sahih International
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an.
Ayah 2 Play Ayah
بَلۡ balNayعَجِبُوٓاْ ajibuthey wonderأَن anthatجَآءَهُم jaahumhas come to themمُّنذِرٞ mundhiruna warnerمِّنۡهُمۡ min'humfrom themفَقَالَ faqalaSo sayٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ al-kafirunathe disbelieversهَٰذَا hadhaThisشَيۡءٌ shayon(is) a thingعَجِيبٌ ajibunamazing
TRANSLITERATION
bal ajibu an jaahum mundhirun min'hum faqala al-kafiruna hadha shayon ajibun
English - Sahih International
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.
Ayah 3 Play Ayah
أَءِذَا a-idhaWhat! Whenمِتۡنَا mit'nawe dieوَكُنَّا wakunnaand have becomeتُرَابٗاۖ turabandustذَٰلِكَ dhalikaThatرَجۡعُۢ raj'un(is) a returnبَعِيدٞ ba'idunfar
TRANSLITERATION
a-idha mit'na wakunna turaban dhalika raj'un ba'idun
English - Sahih International
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."
Ayah 4 Play Ayah
قَدۡ qadCertainlyعَلِمۡنَا alim'naWe knowمَا mawhatتَنقُصُ tanqusudiminishesٱلۡأَرۡضُ al-arduthe earthمِنۡهُمۡۖ min'humof themوَعِندَنَا wa'indanaand with Usكِتَٰبٌ kitabun(is) a Bookحَفِيظُۢ hafizunguarded
TRANSLITERATION
qad alim'na ma tanqusu al-ardu min'hum wa'indana kitabun hafizun
English - Sahih International
We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.
Ayah 5 Play Ayah
بَلۡ balNayكَذَّبُواْ kadhabuthey deniedبِٱلۡحَقِّ bil-haqithe truthلَمَّا lammawhenجَآءَهُمۡ jaahumit came (to) themفَهُمۡ fahumso theyفِيٓ fi(are) inأَمۡرٖ amrina stateمَّرِيجٍ marijinconfused
TRANSLITERATION
bal kadhabu bil-haqi lamma jaahum fahum fi amrin marijin
English - Sahih International
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
Ayah 6 Play Ayah
أَفَلَمۡ afalamThen do notيَنظُرُوٓاْ yanzuruthey lookإِلَى ilaatٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe skyفَوۡقَهُمۡ fawqahumabove themكَيۡفَ kayfahowبَنَيۡنَٰهَا banaynahaWe structured itوَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا wazayyannahaand adorned itوَمَا wamaand notلَهَا lahafor itمِن minanyفُرُوجٖ furujinrifts
TRANSLITERATION
afalam yanzuru ila al-samai fawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannaha wama laha min furujin
English - Sahih International
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?
Ayah 7 Play Ayah
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-ardaAnd the earthمَدَدۡنَٰهَا madadnahaWe have spread it outوَأَلۡقَيۡنَا wa-alqaynaand castفِيهَا fihathereinرَوَٰسِيَ rawasiyafirmly set mountainsوَأَنۢبَتۡنَا wa-anbatnaand We made to growفِيهَا fihathereinمِن minofكُلِّ kullieveryزَوۡجِۭ zawjinkindبَهِيجٖ bahijinbeautiful
TRANSLITERATION
wal-arda madadnaha wa-alqayna fiha rawasiya wa-anbatna fiha min kulli zawjin bahijin
English - Sahih International
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,
Ayah 8 Play Ayah
تَبۡصِرَةٗ tabsiratanGiving insightوَذِكۡرَىٰ wadhik'raand a reminderلِكُلِّ likullifor everyعَبۡدٖ abdinslaveمُّنِيبٖ munibinwho turns
TRANSLITERATION
tabsiratan wadhik'ra likulli abdin munibin
English - Sahih International
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].
Ayah 9 Play Ayah
وَنَزَّلۡنَا wanazzalnaAnd We have sent downمِنَ minafromٱلسَّمَآءِ al-samaithe skyمَآءٗ maanwaterمُّبَٰرَكٗا mubarakanblessedفَأَنۢبَتۡنَا fa-anbatnathen We made to growبِهِۦ bihitherebyجَنَّـٰتٖ jannatingardensوَحَبَّ wahabbaand grainٱلۡحَصِيدِ al-hasidi(for) the harvest
TRANSLITERATION
wanazzalna mina al-samai maan mubarakan fa-anbatna bihi jannatin wahabba al-hasidi
English - Sahih International
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest
Ayah 10 Play Ayah
وَٱلنَّخۡلَ wal-nakhlaAnd the palms treesبَاسِقَٰتٖ basiqatintallلَّهَا lahafor itطَلۡعٞ tal'un(are) layersنَّضِيدٞ nadidunarranged
TRANSLITERATION
wal-nakhla basiqatin laha tal'un nadidun
English - Sahih International
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -
